Nov. 13th, 2007 06:52 pmHi, guys. This time, it's Kelly,
subluxate.
Starr called into Geico today about the fact that her arm is broken and she's supposed to have today and tomorrow off. Her boss was cool with this; HR was not. The nurse called and informed her that, unless she went to the occupational clinic downtown, her time off wouldn't be covered and she could be fired. (Bitch.) So we went off to the clinic. (It's my day off.)
Mind, Starr had thrown up once by this time.
We waited in the lobby for...an hour and forty minutes, during which time she threw up five more times. They got us into a room after the fifth time, mostly because they could hear her. And then we waited another forty minutes for the doctor, during which time she threw up twice more. The doctor finally showed, felt her arm, looked at the X-rays, etc. The verdict? BIG SURPRISE, her arm is broken. It's a chip fracture on her radius. Now we're waiting to hear from the orthopedist about an appointment to see if she needs it set or anything.
As an aside, she's supposed to be going back to work unless Geico okays the time off. I have Thoughts on the subject, but it's her journal, not mine.
