Adventures in Nail Polish
Mar. 24th, 2012 04:44 pmSo, two weeks ago I decided I wanted to quit biting my nails. It's a long road, mostly because oh god I am so stressed but I haven't bitten them! Of course, I need to do hella cuticle repair and I need to order some Lemony Flutter from Lush, but I digress.
I painted my nails with OPI Louvre Me Louvre Me Not because I had so many issues wearing China Glaze Agro and Riveting was just a little too OMG ORANGE for me to last long with it on my fingers. It still lives on my toes.
Well, I really wanted to try one of the other Hunger Games colors, Harvest Gold, but I have changed polish too much this week, so. I just layered a thin coat of it over the OPI and you guys. IT LOOKS AMAZEBALLS. The gold with just one coat is JUST sheer enough that the purple shines through.
It looks like the Phoenix Rising bath bomb in person. I took a picture but I think the flash off my camera phone shines too much off the gold and makes it look opaque, which it isn't. Ignore how messy it is, I just painted them and haven't gone back to get the polish off my poor abused cuticles.
