So, I'm reading The Mayfair Moon by JA Redmerski, which [personal profile] eibbil_libbie graciously let me borrow and while I like it so far, I have one huge beef.

The first part of the book is set in Athens, GA, but the way this author describes the town, it sounds more like a place in south GA than Athens. And it bugs me. Not enough to make me quit reading, mind, but idk, could you have googled it?

The setting moved, now, and I'm starting to get into the book a little more so it was just a minor gripe.

That and... little things like.. there was an episode in Davis once and they were talking about the intersection of two streets that don't intersect. Or once Cho chased a guy past the Capitol and down under the bridge... that's easily two miles down a 'mall' type street. AND you can't get under the bridge like that unless you unlock a gate. Or when they drive to SF or Fresno and then are all.. we're going back to the office. Shit, that's a three hour drive no way are you going to do that multiple times a day. You'd camp out in the local precinct.
