So today was the day for me to go and be a demo model at Ulta for the Smashbox reps and it was fun even if it was a little weird to have my makeup take an hour because someone else is doing it and answering questions :)

How I look today. I would not normally wear these colors but since I was just a guinea pig, I had to go with what they chose. I did like the lipstick, though, so I ended up asking for one (which they gave me!)

My Smashbox swag. I got (FOR FREE ALL FOR FREE) a full size Violet Corrector Primer, a full size Studio Finish foundation, a blush in Bare, lipgloss in Watermelon and lipstick in Cognac. I also got a sample size of a mascara (I have so many fucking mascaras, it's unreal), a foundation brush, a mini-set of some cream eyeliners and some eye primer samples. Woo.

I seriously need to do a makeup giveaway sometime soon, I have so much unopened stuff just LAYING AROUND. I just got a new Urban Decay palette today too.

LOL, I would be all over that.

I will have to compile what I have and confirm what's unopened and not (because ew, used makeup, no me gusta) and put up a post!

Yeah, I have a lot of stuff I would give away because it's never worked for me, but it's all been used. Especially the lip stuff.

I have a TON of mascaras because I only use Benefit They're Real but it seems like every deluxe sample kit I get from Sephora or Birchbox gives me a damn mascara. And I'm sure they're nice mascaras - the Smashbox one they used on me today was nice but I just like how big and fake my lashes look with the Benefit one.

You look great! What all did you get and what do you think of it? I love Smashbox stuff, but it's not in stores in the UK anymore, only online. Only now it's again in some stores. It's weird.

Weiiird. Actually I liked the foundation. I've been using mineral makeup exclusively for about three years now and while I like it, my skin gets really dry in winter. Their Studio Finish foundation is light and moisturizing without being greasy and I managed to wear it for about 8 hours or so before I'd need to blot/powder my forehead and that was without any powder to begin with.

I also got the lipstick they used on me because while it isn't a shade I'd normally ever pick out, I ended up liking how it looked on me and it's a nice in between from neutral (my every day, barely tinted stuff) and red. That stuff lasted forever too - 8 hours and through eating/drinking and a pretty epic nap.

I'd only ever used their eyeshadows before so these were nice surprises.

Yeah, I don't know what happened. They were in Debenham's and everything was grand, because there's one attached to the train station in Birmingham so it was (relatively) easy to pop in on the way to places, but now they're only in certain Boots shops and the nearest is Cardiff. Which is too bad because I really wanted to do their free photoshoot thingy! But they're all far away!

The lipstick is gorgeous on you, well done stepping out or your comfort zone. :)

My skin's so picky, but I've been using the Sheer Focus tinted moisturiser under the Bare Minerals makeup. And the Photo Finish primer is amazing stuff. I've not used the eyeshadow--I have more Urban Decay than anybody in their right mind needs, so have stopped buying eye makeup for a while. I could use a nice matte shadow though.

...I like makeup, if you can't tell. ;)

Yeaaaah I think I have every Urban Decay color in existence and just bought a new palette yesterday because it has Uzi in it and they're discontinuing it, woe, so I'm trying to stock up.

I don't think I said on Twitter but that is sooooo awesome that you got to do that! And you look SUPER pretty, too!

It was really fun! I actually got asked to come back for another demo next month, so, I'm really excited. It was a fun way to spend a Saturday. I'm hoping Benefit asks me to do one because uh, I really want some free moisturizer >.>
