Oh lord, fandom firsts!



First TV show I had self-insertion fantasies about:

The X-Files, probably, because I used to write horrible fanfic in which Mulder and Scully would suddenly realize they really, really wanted a 12 year old girl to tag along with them while they were investigating aliens and shit. As you do.

First fandom in which I interacted (online and in person) with other fans:

Online: The X-Files, actually. I used to have (probably still have) fic on Gossamer and used to be incredibly active on the "official" forums. Oh lord have mercy. I was around for the original conversations where "Shippers" became a real term (I was seriously in middle school, god) and it's funny that EVERY OTHER FANDOM has adopted this from the original MSR.

In person: Stargate

Pairing in the first slash fanfiction I read:

It's a toss-up between Mulder/Krycek or Qui-Gon/Obi-Wan, IDK which one of those I stumbled upon first. I used to be really into slash but I've sort of drifted back to liking het more now. I'm not sure what happened there.

First RPS/RPF I read:

Domlijah for slash. I don't think I read any RPF until RDA/Amanda Tapping >.>

First fanfiction I read that made me think, YES, this is exactly the kind of fanfiction I'd like to write...

Sigh, I can't remember the author's name! There is this fic (Callie knows the one) that's Sam/Jack where Jack gets tortured by Ba'al and there's this whole obsession with his dogtags and oh God it's so angsty and shsskjhfkjghgh

I've never really been inspired to write SG-1 fanfic but damn that was a good fic. I used to like Nandamai's SG-1 fics but she bashes my bb Will Zimmerman now that she's into Sanctuary and it's ruined my enjoyment of everything she's ever done. /TL;DR
