OMFG OMFG

Sooooo, Twilight.

I haven't read much on LJ about what people think of the movie, but I personally thought it was amazing. A few things were changed, yes, but overall I think it worked well with the story. It's easy to see McCrazy Pants Stephenie Meyer had a hand in the production, because everything has the feel of the first Twilight book and reminded me of why I used to love the series to begin with. Let's only hope New Moon is just as good.

Specific things I loved:

Eric Yorkie--Oh, man. He was PERFECT. We don't get a lot of him in the books and it looks like they kind of meshed him with Ben Cheney, but OMG ♥. I loved him.

Jacob and Billy Black: Brought the lulz. I really canNOT wait until New Moon and getting to see their story more fleshed out.

The Makeout Scene: So much more sexual than anything we've ever gotten in the books. You got it right, Catherine Hardwicke.

The Cullen crest: I loved how it was worked into their clothes. So awesome.

Specific things that disappointed me:

Not enough Cullens: We only got a handful of scenes with the Cullens, and I think Jasper and Esme had ten words between them. Oddly, Jasper looked constipated the whole time. I don't know that this was a wise choice, Jackson Rathbone.

The Sparkles: I know there wasn't a GOOD way to do this, but sheesh.

TL;DR: I loved it.
