Well, a few pleasant surprises today!

- work presented me with an amethyst and diamond ring for my 5 year work-a-versary. I am a fan.

- work also sent me home early, again, and is letting me have next Wednesday off

- Jeff got his bonus from the bank, which was 3% of his salary.

- WE HAVE FINALLY DECIDED TO ACTUALLY LEGIT GET MARRIED (If I don't get cold feet again) and we're going on a cruise to the Bahamas in March to do it.

So, I'm reading The Mayfair Moon by JA Redmerski, which [personal profile] eibbil_libbie graciously let me borrow and while I like it so far, I have one huge beef.

The first part of the book is set in Athens, GA, but the way this author describes the town, it sounds more like a place in south GA than Athens. And it bugs me. Not enough to make me quit reading, mind, but idk, could you have googled it?

The setting moved, now, and I'm starting to get into the book a little more so it was just a minor gripe.
