Look, okay, I realize me deciding to get married was kind of a spur of the moment thing but for the love of GOD why does it have to be so arduous to find a damn dress in a size that isn't 24W or 00? THERE IS NO IN BETWEEN.

I absolutely didn't want a white dress but I thought surely I could find some kind of mother of the bride type thing in purple or deep blue EASY AS PIE. NOPE.

I ended up getting something in sapphire blue that I like well enough but I paid more than I wanted to for it. The only saving grace is that I can wear it to the opera or to perform in instead of black, so >.>

Of course the sales women were no help, because they kept pulling prom dresses even though I'm A) Almost thirty (I guess I don't look it?) and B) I SAID I WANTED A DRESS FOR A WEDDING. Also don't flatter me by trying to pull a 12 off the rack to see if it will fit. You know damn well I'm a 16-18 and sometimes a 20 if it's cut narrow in the bust.

I did get new makeup (some of the MAC Archie collection that made me think of merridia) today to make up for this horrible experience. And a blue silk blouse that reminds me of MacKenzie McHale.

Lame of them to be useless. You would think they would have WANTED to be helpful but I've found that if you aren't model thin some of those 'fancy' dress places look at you like... why do you need this dress?

Yeaaaah pretty much. Or didn't believe me when I said I didn't want black.

Also, it's pretty much a law that any wedding, no matter how low-key, will find at least SOME way to be a pain. Yay dress!

Yeah it's turning out to be a pain in the ass even though it's such a non-wedding. Sigh.

But yes, MAC Archie stuff! I got a ton of Veronica stuff and thought of you (alas, no Reggie things, only Betty and Veronica)
